There is a marked trend in relation to EPC rating and a tenants decision making

It is becoming apparent that EPC’s are becoming a vital part of the decision-making process for landlords and tenants.

The Energy Efficiency Partnership (EEPH) highlighted that almost 1/3rd or tenants who moved afer October 2008 stated that the EPC was used when selecting a property to rent. Circa 23% of tenants requested the Landlord to provide an EPC, furthermore the same 23% went on to request the landlord to make changes to the property as a result.

Subsequently, this has led to 60% of landlords being concerned about the energy rating of the EPC with 20% being very concerned.

I see you have an office in Reading but how far will you go to do a domestic EPC?

We have an office base in Reading where a number of our energy assessors operate from. Due to several regional contracts we are able to undertake and fit in a single private domestic EPC or HIP commission within an hours drive of our Reading office.

On a daily basis we undertake domestic EPC’s in the towns and suburbs of Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke, Windsor, Oxford, Maidenhead, Swindon, Guildford and Slough.

For larger domestic EPC commissions we have travelled as far as Bradford for bulk EPC contracts. Thus, if there is multiple units requiring EPC’s we would be happy to discuss travelling further a field to undertake.
