Indoor Air Quality(IAQ) Plan And Testing

Indoor air quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants.

Indoor air quality can be affected by gases (including carbon monoxide, radon, volatile organic compounds), particulates, microbial contaminants (mold, bacteria), or any mass or energy stressor that can result in poor air quality and could induce adverse health conditions in occupants.

Many local authorities in the UK now require an air quality assessment as part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for new developments, to protect the local residents and environment from poor air quality. Certain development applications will need to be accompanied by an Environmental Statement (ES) under the requirements of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1999.

The Syntegra Group offer a comprehensive range of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessment services, including the provision of BREEAM compliant Indoor Air Quality plans to conform to the Hea 02 Indoor Air Quality guidelines. We also provide LEED EQc3.1 IAQ compliant assessment and plans.

We also specialise in providing planning application support, environmental permit application support, air quality modelling, air quality monitoring and air quality assessments for the entire footprint of your development.

The Syntegra Group’s qualified air quality consultants offer expert advice and assessment of source control, filtration and the use of ventilation to dilute contaminants with the aim of improving a building’s overall air quality.
